Vinavi Tools — Privacy Policy

Overview

Vinavi Tools is a Chrome extension designed to help doctors working with the Vinavi EMR system (vinavi.aasandha.mv) create and apply reusable templates for lab orders, prescriptions, clinical advice, and patient complaints.

Data Collection

Vinavi Tools does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:

• No user data is sent to any external server
• No analytics or tracking is used
• No cookies are set
• No user accounts or logins are required
• No patient health information (PHI) is accessed, stored, or transmitted by the extension

Data Storage

All user-created data (lab order sets, prescription templates, advice snippets, complaint templates) is stored locally on the user's device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. This data:

• Never leaves the user's browser
• Is not synced to any cloud service
• Is deleted when the extension is uninstalled
• Can be exported/imported by the user as JSON files for backup

Host Permissions

The extension requests access to https://vinavi.aasandha.mv/* solely to inject templates into the EMR consultation page. It does not read, collect, or store any data from the EMR system. The extension only writes user-selected template data into form fields on the page.

Third-Party Services

The extension loads the Inter font and Material Icons from Google Fonts for UI rendering. These requests are subject to Google's Privacy Policy. No user data is sent with these requests.

Changes to This Policy

Any changes to this privacy policy will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
